You will arrive at the hosts home where we will warmly greeted with a hot cuppa Phika Cha (Traditional black tea).
To warm up, we will start by explaining and introducing the various types of ingredients
to be used for the day. Naga food is simple but delicious as we use a lot of local organic
herbs and spices that has natural flavor enhancing properties. You will learn how to cook three dishes from scratch in a hands-on cooking class, that will last for 1-2 hours. The cooking area is simple, modest and very traditional. A wood-fired cooking stove is used to prepare all the meals, just like how it is traditionally done in the village. You will leave learning a great deal about Naga cuisine, ingredients, cooking styles and traditional culinary secrets!
We love our chilly so make sure you don’t forget to tell us to tone it down as Naga local
chilly is extremely potent!
